Abstract

In this interview, Warren G. Bishop, M.D., talks mostly about his interest in supporting nursing and medical education in Oregon and how he started his various scholarships for nursing and medical students after meeting with the Dean of the School of Nursing at Southern Oregon State College in 1987. He also talks about his family and early life. Dr. Bishop was born March 1, 1903, in Galax, Virginia. He graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, moved to Oregon in 1930, started a private practice in Medford in 1932, and later retired in 1992.
